Continuing the retro gaming theme, here’s a stunning Commodore poster which I’ve turned into wallpapers. The commodore 64 poster was created by James White from signalnoise, and you buy prints of this and other posters at the signalnoise store.
The commodore 64 was released in 1982, when I was just 1 month old. It soon became a hugely popular gaming platform, and is now considered a classic among consoles. Jame’s poster makes a fanatastic commodore wallpaper – minimal yet full of color.

Oh wow, complete with rays of awesome emanating from the controller! I can see this going on a T-Shirt, it’s such a great wallpaper. These nintendo controllers are such a classic part of gaming history. If you’re any kind of gamer you’ll download this wallpaper right now. Anything else is fail.

Wtpirate posted this cool Linux wallpaper to reddit. It shows the linux penguin bringing light into the world, which is a pretty neat metaphor. It’s a pretty minimal wallpaper, with plenty of room for icons and toolbars on your linux desktop. I figured having a linux wallpaper would be good after the microsoft mouse pointer I posted yesterday!
Enjoy it!

Update: oops, looks like my dimensions are a bit off! I’ll update tonight with correctly sized versions, sorry about that!
Heh, this one is the first in a series of tongue-in-cheek uber-geek wallpapers. There’s really not much more to say than that, It’s a giant mouse pointer. At once minimal and absurdly in-your-face. You can have fun arranging your icons on the black pixels, or try to keep them all within the mouse pointer.

No better way, that’s what – so here you go! I made this in Paint.net a while ago and I figured it’s time to share it with the world. Enjoy!
