Continuing the retro gaming theme, here’s a stunning Commodore poster which I’ve turned into wallpapers. The commodore 64 poster was created by James White from signalnoise, and you buy prints of this and other posters at the signalnoise store.
The commodore 64 was released in 1982, when I was just 1 month old. It soon became a hugely popular gaming platform, and is now considered a classic among consoles. Jame’s poster makes a fanatastic commodore wallpaper – minimal yet full of color.

Heh, this one is the first in a series of tongue-in-cheek uber-geek wallpapers. There’s really not much more to say than that, It’s a giant mouse pointer. At once minimal and absurdly in-your-face. You can have fun arranging your icons on the black pixels, or try to keep them all within the mouse pointer.

When Windows Vista introduced the Aero theme it shook a lot of the preconceptions about the operating system’s user interface. It was clearly related to the chunky desktop environment of the 95-era OSes, but some serious design thought had obviously gone into it too.
This geek wallpaper takes the instantly recognisable minimise/maximise/close window toolbar and turns it into a great minimal wallpaper. Enjoy, and subscribe if you want to be updated when the next geek wallpaper is published :0)
